International Desk: Foreign Minister of Taliban FM Muttaki will attend consultative conference on unorganized Palestine in Iran.
A diplomatic delegation, including the Taliban’s foreign minister, arrived in Iran on Friday (December 22).
Amir Khan Muttaki will attend a ‘consultative and political’ meeting on Palestine, the Taliban’s foreign ministry said. The conference is being held on the official invitation of the Foreign Minister of Iran.
The Taliban’s foreign ministry condemned the Israeli attack. However, Taliban officials have not made any strong statements or controversial comments about Israel.
Also, unlike Iran, Taliban-ruled Afghanistan has seen very limited protests condemning Israeli attacks against Palestinians.
On the other hand the Iran is the main supporter of Hamas and Iran has taken a tough stance against Israeli attacks.
