Geert Wilders won the parliamentary elections on Wednesday (November 22). who is one of Europe’s most famous right-wing populists and opponents of Islam.
Geert Wilders’ expectation of 35 seats out of 150 seats in Europe is considered by the news media “NZZ” to be a political tsunami.
“We have won,” Wilders shouted to his supporters on Wednesday, adding that the Dutchman would come first again.
Other candidates were also in the list
Three other top candidates were placed on the popular list in the weeks-long election. They are Dilan Yesilgoz from the liberal-conservative People’s Party for Freedom and Democracy (VVD), Frans Timmermans with a joint list of Social Democrats and Greens, and moderate Peter Omjit.

In the election, the left-wing Timmermann’s coalition has 26 seats, Yesilgoz’s VVD has 23 seats, and Omtzit’s party has 20 seats.
Geert Wilders, who won the election, called on his opponents to work together.
Also according to Wilders, fighting against Islam and closing down mosques or madrassas is not a priority. Stopping asylum seekers from entering the country is far more important.
